Inverse Cube Runner “inverts” the game Cube Runner (a.k.a. Cube Field) by showing the game from a top-down view and having the player place cubes that must be dodged by an AI-controlled ship. It also features a two-player mode, in which one player controls the ship and the other places cubes.
Inverse Cube Runner was the first member of the Inverted Games series to be developed after the formation of inProd. The initial Java version was more of a proof of concept than anything else, partially due to the main focus at the time being final work on Legitimate Tower Defense and preliminary work on StickMan: The Reckoning, but it implemented the main mechanics of the game.
