Miscellaneous Image Editing

From touch-ups, to parodies, to original graphic design work, I have loved image editing since I first learned how. Editing people/characters into other media, learning brands' design languages, adjusting colors and details to change the tone of an image, and even intentionally mimcking things like compression artifacts and the hallmarks of images created in particular ways—and then, of course, combining those all together.

Some projects in which I used these skills include:

And here are some more fun examples:

Data from Star Trek is edited onto someone using a grocery store self check out. Text says, Data checks out 👍 The, Meth, not even once, ad is edited to have the people's skin painted gray with black eyeliner and lipstick. One holds a yellow and orange striped horn. The text now says, My friends and I share everything. Now we share face paint and horns. Homestuck, not even once. A photo of chimichangas has fancy text overlaid, Chongers by Jefe. The, Here it comes, meme image with the tornado edited to be rainbow colors. Fake Nintendo Direct screenshots show, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate × Guns Of Icarus, and characters fighting on top of a Mobula as a Smash Brothers stage. The name, Mobula, and a Guns Of Icarus icon, are shown in the same style as actual Smash Brothers stage reveals. A fake Song Of Ice And Fire cover has a photo of Coffee Bean Braun the cat and says, The New York Times Best Seller, Coffee B B Braun, A Mass Of Fur And Limbs. The 2023 Georgia election interference case co-defendants are shown in 2 rows of 7 and 1 row of 5 in a news broadcast. They are then edited into the Super Smash Brothers Melee character select screen, where their names are shown with the character select screen's distinctive font and inconsistent kerning. A chair sitting in an empty room is emphasized with an outline and fake motion blur. Text like a Super Smash Brothers character reveal says, Sad-Looking Chair Takes a Seat.
Joe Biden is edited onto Jake Ryan saying, And that's when I said, No, Mr. Trump, You're fired! Logos in the style of Pokémon game logos say, ADHD Hyperactive Version, and, ADHD Inattentive Version. The, It's more likely than you think, image is edited with Jean-Luc Picard saying, Darmok and Jalad? At my Tanagra? It's more likely than you think. Part of a Wheaties box is edited to say, Onions, The Breakfast of Onions. Made with heart-healthy whole Onion.

And while it isn't going to replace my go-to image editing software, I also enjoyed putting this edit together years back exclusively with MS Paint!

Zachary's head is edited onto xer City Of Heroes character's body, and both are edited to fly above a promo image of Paragon City.
